Château Holden AOP Haut Médoc Rouge
Château Holden: The site has been in active use since the 16th century.
Château Holden owes its name to the unique topography of the area. In Old English, the name means “deep valley”. The soil is mostly gravelly; this is where clayey limestone meets Oligocene marls.
Growing area : 21 Ha
Age of the vines : 30 years
Varieties : Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot
Tasting notes : On the palate, Château Holden is a supple, balanced and straightforward wine. Its nose opens with lovely hints of undergrowth and red fruits. The lingering finish asserts its personality.
